Which program is my favorite?

As a user of Team Beachbody.com, one of the most frequent question I get from other customers is, “What Beachbody product is your favorite?”

I haven’t tried every workout routine, but I have tried the majority.  In my opinion, ranked in order, here are my favorite workout programs.

  1. 21 Day Fix – I absolutely love Autumn Calabrese, she is motivational, insanely fit, and makes working out fun.  The 21 Day Fit Workouts are a great length (about 30 minutes) and produce great results in my opinion.  Also, her program provides a nutrition program which also works and is very easy to follow.
  2. 3 Week Yoga Retreat – I have tried many Yoga workouts and all of them were not for me.  They where either too hard, too long, too advanced, or too boring.  This yoga retreat is amazing!  I have tried every video and loved it.  They also have a quick 20 minutes routine if you are short on  time, but still want to get some Yoga exercise in.
  3. LIIFT4 – This is a great program, the only reason it is my 3rd favorite an not my 1st is due to the length.  Some of the workouts are longer than 30 minutes so some days I don’t have time for this workout.

Pros and Cons of Beachbody On Demand

Usually in a review I give the pros and cons of the product or service, but in this case, I really can only give positives in regards to the On Demand service from Team Beachbody, so i decided to take it another way.  What are the positives and negatives using an On Demand Service vs. a standard gym.

  • Price – $99/year
  • Updates – they are consistently adding new content, new trainers, new programs.  Barre Blend, THE PREP, and THE WORK where just added recently and 10 Rounds is coming soon.
  • Variety – You have a variety of workouts and coaches to choose from
  • Accessibility – I personally stream Beachbody On Demand on my Roku, but you can watch it from an app on your phone, iPad, Chomecast, computer, Android
  • Meal Plans and Recipes
  • Free Coach Support
  • Can do them anywhere – you need very little to no equipment for the workouts

  • To be honest there are no cons to this program.  I have racked my brain to find something negative, but really the only halfway close thing to a con is that it is not a gym, but that’s kind of the point isn’t it?  Working out from the comfort of your own home is what this service is all about so I see it as a positive, but some may see this as a negative, possibly?

This is a service that I would highly recommend based on my personal experience with the service.  The main factor for me is to the price and what you get for it vs. the alternative!  I used to have a gym membership which cost about $150/month for my wife and I, and BeachBody On Demand only costs $99/year!  So kind of like how I cut the cord with cable and went to Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+ package, I cut the gym fees and went to online streaming service TeamBody On Demand.

I have purchased Team BeachBody On Demand for the last 3 years and have always gotten way more than my money’s worth! For only $99/year or ($39 every 3 month or $59 every 6 months), you get 24×7 access to the most popular workout vidoes of all time!  I mean P90X full DVD’S sell for oever $100 right now, and you get access to P90X, P90X2, AND P90X3!  You saw the list above, there are a lot of great workout programs to try for every skill level.

Hey, I agree that this looks like a great deal. I started the p90x program a few years back, and found it to be a fantastic workout and easy to do with the light equipment that I already had at home. Is it required to sign up with a credit card or bank information to start the free trial? I’d definitely like to test it out but I’m not sure about sharing the credit card info just yet. Thanks!

I actually had to research this since it has been like 3 years since I signed up for the free trial.  Yes, you are required to provide a credit card to access the free 14 day trial, but they will only charge it if you haven’t cancelled in 14 days.  I too don’t love giving out my credit card info, but I think all free trials require this now because if they didn’t, too many people would take advantage of it and just keep creating new email addresses.

That’s definitely a good deal, especially with some of these programs. I’d be willing to purchase this to use in lieu with a gym membership since mine only costs about $30 a month and I need variety from all sorts of angles. For anyone looking to save on memberships, this would be a great route to go and many of the programs I listed are tried and true, like Insanity and P90X, which have been around for over a decade. Do they update regularly with new programs?

    Mike · March 31, 2020 at 4:38 pm

Yes, that is why I like it because there are tons to choose from.  I only listed the popular ones, there are many more.  Yes, they are continually adding more programs and extras.  10 Rounds is a 6 week boxing/weightlifting program that is coming soon, and they have early VIP access to Barre Blend (mix of ballet barre, pilates, and cardio), 4 weeks of The Prep, and 6 weeks of The Work.

Thank you for this great review of Beach body on Demand. Now it seems we will all have to figure out a way to stay healthy without going to the gym. In my opinion I will have better workouts with someone guiding me as apposed to wondering around at the gym.

I’m very interested in the 21 fix. I’m confident I could commit to a program for 21 days and see how it goes. It looks like there is a great value for the price here.

Thank you! I will sign up right away.

Thanks for introducing the Beachbody on Demand App. I have not heard of it before and I am gonna give it a try.  I have downloaded the other apps for 7 minutes but sometimes it doesn’t work for me and it gets really frustrating trying to work out.  I also used to be in a gym membership which was way expensive for me and I stopped it.  Thanks again for this helpful information.

    Mike · May 1, 2020 at 6:19 pm

No problem Rutz, yes Beachbody On Demand is very user friendly and for only $99/year, I think they give a lot of value for that price.  Try out the free trial for 14 days and see if its something for you!

I have been trying to get back into working out, specially now since we are all to stay home. I was so conflicted because I couldn’t find a routine that I would be able to stick with and that would work to tone my body. Team Beachbody On Demand seems super legit and I’m actually very excited to try it out, specially because they offer Nutrition Plans. I am curios, what would be some cons of the Team Beachbody On Demand? Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Mike,

I like the sound of beach body on demand especially given the current crisis going on around the world at the moment. I think myself like many others will be looking for alternatives to our usual way of life for a period of time to come .

The offer sounds really reasonable but I’m just wondering if there any chance of getting a snippet of what the workouts look like, so I can see if it’s for me?
